About Me

Hello! I’m Laura- a menstrual cycle educator, postpartum doula, and the founder of Threaded Red.
My work serving women and womb carriers began in 2016. Since then, I have been hosting Red Tent Circles in my community, curating interactive Red Tent installations at festivals, and spreading menstrual literacy information any way that I can.
Professionally, I have trained as a Holistic Doula with Whapio at The Matrona and am certified as a Puberty and Adolescence Educator by Karen O’Dougherty at Body Basics and Beyond. I served three years as Temple Coordinator at the Goddess Temple of Ashland, where I studied ceremonial priestess arts and rites of passage rituals with Lady Graelynn. I have taught workshops and held retreats internationally.
Over the years, I have become a trusted resource in my local community and online following. I have supported people virtually and locally through the entire womb continuum including: puberty and menarche, menstruation and sexual health, preconception, abortion, miscarriage, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and more.
In 2023 I became a mother, which is my greatest accomplishment. My profound and empowering experience postpartum inspired me to begin offering mother-centered postpartum care professionally.
I believe that all birth is sacred. Whether you’re birthing at home or in the hospital, with medical care or unassisted, cesarean or vaginal- postpartum care is essential. Whatever your journey of pregnancy and birth looks like, I’m here to support you in your unique journey of mothering and parenting.

I am passionate about serving postpartum mothers and families, whatever your family structure may look like. I am dedicated to serving all families regardless of gender identity, sexuality, religion, relationship and family structure. I am dedicated to doing my own personal work so that I can show up for you fully and create a space of safety for you and your family.
