Most people decide to hire a doula for their birth because they want extra support. We know that birth is one of the most monumentous experiences of our entire life. There is something deep, ancient, and wise within us that desires to be seen, loved, supported, and fully witnessed through the process.
There is something deep within us that knows... I was born to do this. My body was made to do this. I can do this. The next steps? Surrounding yourself with a network of robust support as you prepare for this powerful rite of passage.
As your doula, my goal is to surround you in a deep sense of support and care. My approach is holistic- tending to your unique needs physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. My care is tailored to you- who you are and what you want out of birth.
My goal is to offer you present, caring, continuous support throughout your labor; a presence so unwavering that you know in your bones that you're not in this alone. I apply different techniques for coping with stress and managing pain in labor including positional changes, comfort measures, mindset tools, and ritual practices. All of these practices are uniquely adapted to what you and your family desire.
I honor and respect birth in all of its forms. Whether you choose to birth at home, hospital, or birth center; medicated or not; midwife or not- I am here for you whatever your birth looks like and whatever turns it takes!
Support starts the moment we establish care.
I am available for unlimited text, voice memo, and email support to bolster you as you navigate pregnancy and prepare for birth and postpartum. I will help connect you with resources, share up-to-date evidence based research, and refer you to local practitioners (when applicable). Right out of the gate, you have me in your corner as someone that you can rely on. Someone that cares about you, is invested in your care, and is a total nerd about pregnancy/birth/postpartum ready to dig into research.
All packages include 2 prenatal visits, which are 1-2 hours each. During this time we will prepare and fine-tune your birth plan, explore coping techniques for labor, practice labor positioning and mindset tools, and more.
Once labor begins, I am ready to arrive at a moment's notice. I am on call 24/7 for your birth, starting 2 weeks before your due date. I am prepared to offer continuous care throughout your labor, typically leaving about 2-3 hours postpartum.
All packages include 2 postpartum visits (additional visits can be added if desired). Timing of postpartum visits varies, but can be as early as 1-2 days postpartum, depending on your family's needs and desires.
My intention is that my presence and care can be a grounding touchstone for you and your family as you walk through one of life's most precious thresholds.
